In the 2013 tourist sector it recovered the dynamism and this tendency has been accentuated in the first trimester of this year even considering the seasonal effect of the Easter. The subsector of tourism of cruises is undergoing a spectacular growth with rates of growth that surpass 40% in the first trimester.

According to Canary Report IMPACTUR the 2012 “participation of the tourism in the economy of the community reaches 30% almost” and for that year it located the global impact of the tourist activity in 12.281 million Euros. In terms of use the number of direct tie jobs or indirectly to the tourist activity reached the 255,121 uses, which supposed a 34.7% of the total use of the archipelago.

The Direct influences reflect those generated in those subsectors and branches of activity that are in touch direct with the own tourists (hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, car rental…) and the Indirect effects are the induced ones on other branches of activity (providing of foods, construction, electricity, water…).

The perspective for the set of the 2014 are very favorable since a recovery of the national tourism is expected that had undergone continuous reductions in the last exercises.
